Self-Introduction

A Japanese person born on January 14, 2004. I was born with a severe physical disability due to the designated intractable disease "Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT)" and live in a wheelchair.
During junior high school, I developed "scoliosis," which progressed to a state where my lung was nearly crushed, so I underwent surgical treatment to prevent future respiratory dysfunction. As a result, my back is fixed in an upright position.

I usually go by the name "たいくん (TAIKUN)" online.
I am active in a wide range of fields, including as an Apple enthusiast / collector, blogger, app developer, and graphic / web designer.
My primary design tool currently is Affinity.

If you would like to know more about me, please see the "About Me" section below.

About Me

Hobbies

I have a wide range of hobbies, including computers, audio, cameras, listening to music, watching videos, and design. I have loved computers and other digital devices since I was little, and among them, I especially love Apple!

The biggest catalyst for me becoming a serious Apple enthusiast was watching a TV commercial for the iPhone 5, which was the latest model at the time, sometime in 2012. I had loved computers and other digital devices even when I was younger, so I knew of Apple's existence before then, but I still clearly remember being shocked by the overwhelmingly beautiful design of the iPhone 5 shown in that commercial (in retrospect, one of my current hobbies, design, might have shown signs of beginning back then lol).
Since then, partly because going to recycle shops was one of my hobbies, I started buying discounted items I found at recycle shops and online, and now I live surrounded by various Apple products.

Currently Used Apple Products

The Apple products I currently use primarily are as follows (as of November 2025).

  • iPhone 12 Pro
    • I rarely use it except when I'm out, because it's difficult to operate and I mainly use a Mac at home. I occasionally use it for real device testing of my self-developed apps.
  • Apple Watch Series 10
    • I wear it every day for health management and checking notifications.
  • iPad mini (6th generation)
    • I take it when I go out, and recently I mainly use it for real device testing of my self-developed apps.
  • Mac mini (2024)
    • This is my main Mac, which is the center of my life. I spend most of the day working in front of this Mac, except for meal and bath times.
  • iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020)
    • This is my sub-Mac, which I use for checking old Apple products or for working at the desk opposite the one where my main Mac is placed. Its usage frequency is low.
  • Mac Pro (Mid 2012)
    • This is a sub-Mac set up next to my bed. I connect the AR glasses RayNeo Air 3s to it to watch videos when I am lying in bed, such as before sleeping. Like my main Mac, I use it every day.

In addition, the Apple products I use for occasional verification, although not frequently, are as follows:

  • iPhone SE (3rd generation)
    • I use it for real device testing of my self-developed apps.
  • MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016)
  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012)
    • I use it for checking the operation of my self-developed apps on older Macs and for checking the operation of OCLP.

I collect a large number of Apple products. It is difficult to introduce all of my collections, but here are some of the Apple products I own.

Since Mac are larger than other products, the number that can be placed within view is quite limited, which is why there are fewer in the image compared to other collections. However, I own more than 10 other Mac in addition to these (which is more than the number of iPod I own lol).

Others

Although I haven't photographed them, I also own about 8 other iPad, about 5 Apple Watch, and numerous other accessories (Docks, cables, keyboards, mice, etc.).
